Wirral Mini Digger Hire is a family run business offering an equipment hire service across Wirral, Chester and the surrounding areas. We have the latest Carter mini diggers available for hire, great for domestic excavation projects and ideal for those narrow access sites.  Also available for hire is the Lumag mini track motorised wheelbarrow/dumper, often hired alongside a digger to make light work of moving excavated earth - no more struggling to push a heavy wheelbarrow!  Along with our other items - compactor plate, cement mixer and the latest wood chipping machine - we have the equipment you need to take the hard work out of your projects.

Frequently Asked Questions

We require payment for equipment hire 3 working days before hire starts.  A deposit of £250 will also be required.  
We accept all major debit and credit cards. Credit card payments will be subject to an additional fee.
You can pay via BACS payment to our bank account using your online/telephone banking. Bank details will be provided upon request.

Please provide copies of the following via email to wirralminidiggerhire@gmail.com and show the original copies upon receipt of equipment:

  • Confirmation from your home insurer that the equipment has been temporarily added to your policy from the date of equipment delivery until it is collected by us.    .  
  • Photo i.d. of the person at the delivery address who is hiring the equipment (e.g. passport, photo driving licence)
  • 2 recent utility bills for the address that the equipment will be delivered to, both must be dated within the last 3 months.

  • A copy of your business insurance indicating the cover for the hire of equipment
  • Photo i.d. of the employee who will be taking delivery of the equipment at the address where the equipment is being used (e.g. passport, photo driving licence)  
  • 2 recent utility bills/business invoices, both must be dated within the last 3 months.
A deposit of £250 is required 3 working days prior to delivery, payable via BACS. The deposit will be fully refunded following the collection of the equipment subject to the equipment being returned in the clean and undamaged condition it was delivered.

Equipment is delivered the evening before your booking starts and is collected on the evening that the booking finishes.  Exact times will be agreed when the booking is made.
No, we deliver all equipment and collection is not possible.
Please refer to the handbook provided with the equipment upon delivery.
We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel an item you have hired.  We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if less notice is given.
We advise that you contact your home/business insurer to inform them that you are using hired equipment on your property.  See our terms and conditions for more information.
You may book the equipment for a longer period if it is available for extended hire, please contact us if this is required.  If we cannot extend the hire period we will collect the equipment as previously arranged and we will you offer you the next available booking slot.  We may be able to offer an alternative machine if we have one available.
No, this is strictly prohibited, the equipment can only be used at the premises it was delivered to.
Yes, please ensure the tank is filled with the appropriate fuel.  The fuel type will be clearly marked on the fuel cap and refuelling advice given upon delivery.
Yes, please brush/wipe down the equipment to remove any excess mud/dirt.  The equipment will be delivered in a clean state and should be returned in this manner.
You are responsible for the equipment whilst in your possession.  Pre-existing damage will be noted before hire.  You will be charged for the repair of any damage that occurs during your use of the equipment along with lost hire days while the equipment is repaired. 
All our equipment is sanitised after each period of hire and again when it is unloaded and delivered to your premises.  All our staff will wear masks and adhere to social distancing during delivery.  We will wipe down 'high touch areas' on equipment when we collect it from you.
